Michelle Yeoh Choo-Kheng born August 6, 1962) is a BAFTA Award-nominated Malaysian Chinese actress and dancer, well known for performing her own stunts in the action films that brought her to fame in the early 1990s.

Born in Ipoh, Malaysia, she is based in Hong Kong and was chosen by People magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World in 1997.

She is best known in the Western world for her roles in the 1997 James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies, playing Wai Lin, and the multiple Academy Award-winning Chinese action film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, for which she was nominated the BAFTA for "Best Actress". In 2008, the film critic website Rotten Tomatoes ranked her the greatest action heroine of all time.

She is credited as Michelle King and Michelle Khan in some of her earlier films.

Early life & career

Yeoh was born to an ethnic Chinese family in Ipoh, Malaysia on August 6, 1962. Her parents were Janet Yeoh and Yeoh Kian Teik, a lawyer.[2] She was very sporty when she was young and had a passion for dance. She started to study ballet at the age of four years old. At age 15, her parents accompanied her to England and enrolled her at a boarding school there. Yeoh later entered London Royal Academy of Dance, majoring in Ballet. However, a spinal injury ended her dream of being a prima ballerina, and she consequently had to switch her focus away from dance to choreography and other arts. She later received a B.A. degree in Creative Arts with a minor in Drama.

In 1983, at the age of 21, Yeoh won the Miss Malaysia beauty pageant. She was also Malaysia's representative at the 1983 Miss World pageant in London. From there, she appeared in a television commercial with Jackie Chan which caught the attention of a fledgling film production company called D&B Films.

Yeoh's career in Hong Kong started with a few commercials for Charles Jourdan, opposite action movie heroes Jackie Chan and Chow Yun-Fat before being offered a film contract. The Charles Jourdan brand was handled by D&B Group in Hong Kong, run by Yeoh's future husband, Dickson Poon. In 1988, she retired from acting after marrying Poon. Three years later, the couple divorced, and Yeoh returned to acting in 1992. Her first movie after the comeback was Police Story 3, which was partly shot in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The former Liverpool player looked like he had won the cup as he joined guests at the opening of a new Japanese restaurant in Southport.

With eyes the size of footballs, Lawro never blinked as stunning model Becky Wu got her kit off and climbed into position.
The sizzling meal got a bit to much for 51-year-old who decided to hit the bar for half time refreshment at the exclusive eatery in the posh Vincent Hotel.
A fellow diner said: 'The food was fantastic and I've never seen such a sexy table.
'Lawro was chatting to everyone then suddenly this stunning girl stripped off in front of him and climbed onto a table.
'He must have thought it was a streaker. His eyes went the size of footballs.
'Staff put about 10 or 11 different starters over her body for people to try but after having a good look he went to the bar.
'It was probably the finest starter eleven he has seen in years even on Match Of The
The V-Sushi Bar is the latest addition to the Vincent hotel, which opened its doors earlier this year.

Lindsay Lohan’s tan faux pas

Lindsay Lohan looked stunning when she arrived for the Diesel xXx party in New York, but her sun-kissed-goddess look went horribly wrong when she was struck by fake tan disaster.

The actress' legs were a shade of orange, the look made worse by the fact her ankles and feet were blinding white.

The faux pas didn''t go unnoticed and Lindsay eventually changed outfits, slipping on a pair of garish ripped leggings in an apparent attempt to cover up.

Lohan’s much hyped relationship with lesbian lover Samantha Ronson is also said to have hit a rough patch, as the DJ intends keep away from the limelight.

"Sam needs her space away from Lindsay and really needs to take a long look at what the future of this relationship can be," The Sun quoted a source, as saying.

It has also been reported that Lohan acts obsessive and follows around Ronson all around.

"Clearly, they were spending a little too much time together, and Samantha was the one who said Lindsay was getting in the way, and even acting obsessive at times,” a source said.

"Samantha DJ'ed three big parties around the Emmy weekend in Los Angeles, and Lindsay was practically on top of her for every minute of those gigs. Lindsay was behaving in a very smothering way,” the source added.
