HA NOI, VIETNAM: Viet Nam rolled out the red carpet for the 80 contestants to this year’s Miss Universe pageant as month-long activities livened the country.
From galas, parades, visits to charity organisations to a national costume show, an ao dai fashion show, a national gift auction and beach events, the beauty queens were introduced to Viet Nam’s stunning scenery, friendly people and culture.
On 14 July, the fairest of them all would have been crowned by Japan’s Riyo Mori, last year’s Miss Universe. (The Viet Nam News/ AsiaNews)
